Amazon Shares Gain After Q2 Beats on Top, Bottom Line
July 24th, 2011
Amazon.com shares are gaining steam after the closing bell after what appears to be a solid quarterly earnings report.
The online retailer reported earnings of 41 cents a share on revenue of $9.9 billion, compared with estimates of 35 cents a share and $9.37 billion in revenue.
Amazon says it sees third-quarter revenue of between $10.3 billion and $11.1 billion, compared with estimates of $10.4 billion — that seems pretty good, too.
The stock is up about 4% after the bell.
